We are happy to provide our personal details in response to legitimate enquiries via our website.

Why we collect data from our website

Data collected from our website is used for one of two things; to help us understand how our site is being used so that we can improve the online experience of potential clients, and to allow us to receive enquiries and bookings via the respective forms on this website.

When someone visits https://www.bariville.co.uk our IT consultant uses Google Analytics to collect insights into visitor behavioural patterns. The information obtained includes the number of visitors to the various parts of the site for example, the browser or device they used when visiting the site and the pages visited most frequently. Contact Form – When you provide information in our contact form, we collect the personal data you entered into this form. This includes your name, email address and your message in order to respond to your enquiry. These details are sent to us via email and are not stored on this website.  You are required to check the field to agree to the terms set out in this privacy notice in order to comply with GDPR legislation. If you don’t check this field you will be unable to submit the form.

Booking Enquiry – We use Bookalet, an online booking management system for holiday lets. The booking enquiry for is embedded within our website but hosted on the Bookalet servers. You can read the Bookalet Privacy Policy here

Bookalet send us an email containing all of the details you have provided which relate to your booking.

We use a hosted Microsoft Exchange service provided by 1&1 I as our email provider to access and store emails. This account is secured via a strong password and uses two-factor authentication for extra security. You can read more about their privacy policy here

All client data we hold on our internal systems is secured and is only accessible to the owners. The data is protected via password entry and two-factor authentication.

This website is securely hosted by First4IT Solutions Ltd and is only accessible by myself via a secure password. You can read more about their privacy policy here

We do not actively share any of the information collected with third-parties outside of those listed above. It is used internally to help improve the service provided to you.

We retain details of bookings for a period of 12 months on our internal systems. This data is then purged from our systems on the anniversary of each booking.

You have the right to request a copy of your data or to request us to delete any data that relates to you. If you would like to do so please email us using the contact form on this website. Please note that requests may take up to 30 days to process and we will require proof of identification prior to acting upon any request.

process in the event of a data breach

In the unlikely event of a data breach we commit to doing all we can to mitigate the impact of an breach and to take the appropriate action to rectify the situation as quickly as possible. It is most likely we will be informed in one of three ways; by notification from third-party services, recognised malicious activity or something physical such as the theft or loss of device. Depending on the circumstances, as a data controller, we will determine the risk of the breach adversely affecting the individuals’ rights and freedoms and follow the ICO’s guidance as to whether or not they or any other party need to be informed. It may be necessary that we inform users of such a breach via our website. In our role as a data processor we will notify clients within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.
